Jade Phoenix is my personal project to rewrite "self-hate".
The green oil accord is inspired by Green Eagle Oil, which is a medicinal oil rub that smells like Tiger Balm without the camphor. My family used this whenever we were sick or had any ailments. I associated it with being weak but one day I saw those outside my culture say how much they love the scent. They see the green oil as something beautiful. This was mind blowing for me at the time, and I wanted to redo my memory and associations with it by working with the accord directly.
